Quality Control
We strive to provide affordable, high-quality new homes with exceptional customer service.
From start to finish, we work closely with you to ensure that your new home meets your needs and expectations.
Our team is dedicated to using top-quality materials, fittings, and fixtures.
We carefully vet all of our tradespeople and sub-contractors to ensure that they meet our high standards. We also have a quality control team that monitors the progress of our builds and follows rigorous inspection procedures to deliver defect-free products.
All structural work is verified by independent building control inspectors and overseen by building inspectors appointed by warranty insurance providers.
To support us in ensuring that our standards are met we have a quality control team that monitors the progress of our builds throughout different stages of the build.
These stages are:
1. Substructure – Good construction starts with a strong foundation. To help prevent early build defects, we prioritize quality control from the very beginning of the construction process. This includes level checking the foundations, ensuring that services and drainage are properly installed, and inspecting hardstandings and driveways. By taking these measures at the start of the project, we can ensure that the final product meets the highest standards of quality.
2. Superstructure – The superstructure of our buildings is carefully inspected for compliance with building control standards. We check brickwork for line and level, ensure that face brick and cavity are properly filled for structural integrity and thermal performance, and install support steels for window and door openings with appropriate padstones. We also install damp course membranes at the correct height to protect against water penetration. Before proceeding, we check roof structures against engineering and manufacturer’s designs to ensure they meet all necessary requirements.
3. First Fix – At this stage of the construction process, our team conducts a thorough quality control check of the plumbing pipework and electrical cabling to ensure that they are installed in a way that is convenient for the customer and compliant with all necessary regulations. The boiler flues are also installed and inspected to ensure proper ventilation and accessibility for future maintenance. Additionally, the overall structure and fire safety components are carefully reviewed to ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
4. Predecoration – Before the decoration stage, a full second fix inspection is conducted to confirm that all components have been installed correctly. The property is then cleaned and protection is put in place, allowing our decorators to complete their work to the highest standards while keeping specified fixtures safely secured. This thorough pre-decoration process helps ensure that the final product meets our high standards of quality.
5. Completion – During the completion stage of the build, our team conducts a thorough inspection to ensure that all components are accurately installed and that the property is ready for handover to the customer. An assessment of air leakage, ventilation testing, and a thorough insulation review are used to confirm the energy performance of our home. After these steps have been completed, we professionally clean the property and conduct a final building regulations and warranty inspection.
6. Final Inspection – The final inspection is conducted by the Site Manager and a Quality Manager to ensure that the completed home meets our high standards. The Quality Manager assesses the finished quality and works with the site team to resolve any issues before the home is handed over to the buyers.
